Agreed. I don't know what he said but he should have said it before the first game he coached.

You gotta admit it was a great game to watch. You could feel the intensity from both teams. Almost tied it up at the end too. It's been a while since I've seen all 18000+ fans on the edge of their seats clear to the end of the game.

I was indeed a good game. Would have liked to see overtime.

Every fan there thought it was going to go into OT, those both in black and gold and in orange.

I see the Penguins making a big charge in the last half of the season!! Crosby is going to be very motivated after missing the all-star game..

Not sure if this is sarcastic, but I would think the face of the NHL should lose sleep over not making the all-star game..

This is the all-star game... not the Olympics. It's meaningless.

I'm pretty sure the ones who don't get selected collectively breath a sigh of relief that they get to enjoy a nice break with their family. They're definitely sleeping much better that weekend than those participating lol.

Other than the young guys who haven't been (or John Scott), most of the established players see it as another PR obligation that they have to fulfil.

Pretty sure Crosby privately asked to not be included.

All the stars have huge ego's, they always want to be in the spotlight!! Crosby included.. And yes I know the Olympics weren't held this weekend.. We will never know what is going to motivate Crosby in the second half.. My opinion says, this has something to do with it.. I never said he wasn't happy about being able to stay home, I was just stating that this will motivate him..

Maybe he was asked, maybe he wasn't.. But because of his stats this year, he definitely wasn't going to say yes.. He would rather earn it then get a pity vote..

Crosby has been the best player in the league for a month or so now. He's already motivated

Goals a plenty with this one. Pens over the Sens 6-5.

Crosby with a natural hat trick. Hope you didn't sell low on Crosby.
Top 6 plus Letang played great. Kunitz going from a game time decision to a three point night with three hits was a pleasant surprise.
Bad news Fehr was lost to a lower body injury. No update from Sullivan in the post game. Further details tomorrow.

Nice come from behind OT win. Pens 3 Panthers 2.

Didn't look like they would deserve a win after seeing the way they first two periods. Sid and Letang came alive in the third though, pulling even and getting the win in OT.
Zatkov played well. Could have easily been a couple more. Should have made the save on the first goal though.

Welcome to the Crosby show. Not the homecoming that John Gibson wanted.

2G 2A and a deflected shot at Letang's head for Sid.
Critical goal by Hagelin getting one back after the Getlaf breakway.
Letang with two apples, of course. Missed a couple of shifts after getting hit in the head by a deflected Crosby shot. Came back and played the rest of the game. Let's see if he'll suit up on Wednesday.
Solid grind by the bottom 6. Had some nice cycles goings and still had enough for a Sheary deflection 10 minutes into the first.

    Malkin and Bonino progressing...

Malkin to be re-evaluated after the team gets back from tonight's game. Bonino is back on the ice.
