i'm posting this from a different computer than usual, so don't have the rules / emails handy. not sure how it works for going over the 30 player limit - whether we have to drop someone immediately or can do it afterwards. heck, i'm not even sure if i'm over the limit already. also just going off the thread with available players, so hope this guy is in fact still available.

with all that out of the way, i'll take a flyer on Anton Stralman with the 148th pick.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe you have to be at or under the 30 player limit right after the dispersal draft ends and/or before the entry/rookie draft begins.

Yup, that's what I understood of the ruling around the dispersal draft.

yup, you're right. thx. here is Russ' exact text:

Yes to the expanded rosters. Everyone will be at or below 30 players no later than 10 pm EST 17 Sep. If you don't manage your team, I will be forced to. Please don't make me do that because I will not "reverse" a drop I am forced to make on your behalf. We should all know the rules and the cut-off timings, please respect them. We can go up to 35 players following the five round draft and throughout the season. We will still have 5 IR spots available.

Yeah, I sent an email to Russ telling who I was going to drop, but you're right, I totally forget that Fantrax was updated, so I don't think it's an issue if we go ahead and make are drops directly in Fantrax.

Let see what Russ has to say about this?

You have to be at or below 30 players before the entry/rookie/expansion draft (Sept. 17 @ 10pm EST to be exact). In most cases teams started with 25 players and drafted 7 rounds, so everyone would be at 32 (not counting trades). Then we draft 5 rounds putting us up to 35 after the entry/rookie/expansion draft.

I don't think you're allowed to have the choice to keep 31 and draft 4 entry draft rounds.

To explain things a bit better:

The dispersal draft should be thought of as a completely separate draft - normally there isn't one, so we would have to be at or below the 30 player limit before the entry draft.

I'm gonna go ahead and pass on Round 7 as well. Also could somebody send me a link to the new league on Fantrax, Russ sent me an email saying I had to sign-up or join the league or whatever, but I've never been given any invitation to join and when I go to Fantrax it only shows last year's pool and the other pool I'm in that UW runs, no Comish Dynasty pool for 2011-12....
