Panthers aquiered Jerred Smithson for a 6th rounder.

Kinda like the trade. Madden didn´t work out as the 4th round C and Nashville fans seem to like the guy in that role. No offense but a good working guy.

Panthers bascially traded a 3rd rounder for Wojtek Wolski.

I´m not sure if i like it since the guy is streaky as hell, but he has at least some scoring potential.

Will mainly be a rental anway.

Hopefully he gets as hot as usual after a trade...

Finally 2 points again but it was a ton of work vs. the Canes and not an impressive win. Our offense is still totally lacking the fire they had earlier this season and i really hope Tallon gets another deal done soon...

Stephen Weiss is now the guy with the most games played for the Kittys and he had a helluva game. Lines were shuffled and despite a brutal start to the game the Panthers came out on the top.

Sean Bergenheim is now on a line with Weiss and might have had his best game of the season. Also mad props to Ellerby who is really getting better every day. Guds had a fight to light the fire after the refs had some questionable calls.

Trade deadline watch:

- What happens with Garrison
- Rumors are out that Detroit wants Sammy
- Rumors are out that we want Stastny.

i should keep my mouth shut cause usually when i start believing the Panthers go on a losing streak.

But this was a good game despite Steeger out Santorelli finally showed what he can do with top 6 minutes.

Wolski with his second point in three games for the Panthers.

Ellerby continuing his great play latley and Jack Skille proves why Tallon traded for him. With him in the lineup this team is so much better.

What's going in with flash's TOI latley? Espcially last night? It almost seemed as if he didn't take a shift from his PP assist until the next goal where he got a +- for but no assist?

With Steeg out and Wolski in there were line switches to be made for those 3 game spans. Should be back to normal when Steeger returns unless Santorelli and WOlski totally light it up.

Yeah they are struggeling heavily. Not liking it one bit. Kopecky has played brutally bad the last 5 games he is having turnover after turnover and Jovo isn´t far behind.

Only good thing from this night was the new line of Goc-Wolski-Flash seemed pretty good together.

Well let´s see if we can end the playoff drought not believing atm.

And the Panthers finally win vs. Ottawa the first time in 100 years...

Bottom liners combined for the goals and i won´t talk bout it a lot since this seems to not bring any luck.

KeyToLife, the main man when it comes to Panthers info.

I have to make a lineup decision between Fleischmann and a few other players (Fleischmann, Perron) and posted separately on this ( http://www.dobberhockey.com/forums/s...618#post918618), so would love to have your thoughts on whether I should start Fleischmann.

His line with Wolski/Goc seems to be doing ok, and he's getting some PP time, but it's not like the Weiss/Versteeg/Flash days when they were humming along, so I am inclined to sit him in favor of one of the other guys.

Any thoughts on his recent play?

Sorry for the late answer bud.

Hmm tough question the problem with Flash is that he is a) streaky and b) needs someone else to have good games usually to make room for him.

The Panthers are struggeling to score goals and the goalscorers are pretty random atm. I most certainly would say stay away from Flash. We will score goals but i wouldn´t be too sure that it will be Flash at least for the next few games unless he is reunited with Weiss and Steeg.

Thats not a way to finish of a season really not. This team is crapping the bed since the last 2 months.

Thank you Theo for that important point. Otherwise the P´s played decent but still can´t create any offense. WOlski looks decent and Marcel Goc is still playing like a stud while Kopecky and Jovo should get a retirement home together...
