    Default Neuvirth + for Brodeur

Looking at trying to move Neuvirth and someone like Franzen for Brodeur. Would you guys shy away from that deal because it would give me three goalies in the Atlantic Division?

Just keep in mind that Brodeur is aging rapidly. Neuvirth has his whole career ahead of him. Vokoun only signed for one year. If you are looking to win for just this year, go with Brodeur. Otherwise, I think eventually Neuvirth, wheather it's next year or the year after, will do better than Brodeur will in that year.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking as well. I own Neuvirth now and I wouldn't trade him straight up for Brodeur for a few reasons:

    1. Career directions. Neuvy's is pointing straight upwards, Brodeur's is going down. Sure, Neuvy will not get as many starts this year, but it's only for one year and as Justin Goldman says, Vokoun will be a fantastic influence on Neuvy. Also, we don't know how much longer Brodeur will play, never mind play well.

    2. Brodeur didn't have the best year last year and I still have my doubts about Jersey.

In a keeper league I would not make that move, Brodeur does not have that many years left (39 years old) and he is not the goaltender he was a few years ago (his SV% as steadily been getting worse since 06-07).

Neuvirth is just beginning his career, while Vokoun will take a lot of starts away from Neuvirth this year, he will benefit from it in the long term.

if neuvirth was your 2nd goalie and not your 3rd i might consider it. But with 2solid goalies in Fluery and Lundqvist i think you can afford to be patient one more year. You should still do extremely well in H2H with those two and the spot start from Neuvirth.

Since you can afford to be patient, i would do just that.

There's no chance you make this deal.

The goalies in the same division is scary. But Brodeurs age is the biggest concern. Presuming he hangs it up. You're not going to win it this year, so why trade an asset who is on his last year?

The only way I do this deal is if you came second or so last year and need an edge to win.
Two Stroke Hockey League - Points only, full keeper
Capwise Full Keeper H2H Roto Leagues: East Coast Fantasy League,
Icey Cups Fantasy Hockey League - H2H Points, Full Keeper
