I think the Mets group/Citi field will most likely have the best long term offer for the club. Obviously if the facility is built for hockey and can fit, say 17K fans its a win win situation. They already have the Mets and the National Tennis center so having another sport facility is icing on the cake.

Being on the 7 line grants access to millions of paying customers who do not have to drive to the event. The key point being driving. The LIE is really a chore, ask any 516er. Further from Hunter's Point you can transfer from the LIRR to the 7 line. For the more adventuresome fans they can get off at Woodside station and catch the 7 there. So LI fans can access the team via train, although I suspect many would still drive.

Brooklynites can get there via the G train, although that line is often a real adventure and it might be easier to take the E or F train and transfer in midtown manhattan.
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.

Islanders fans, how do you see Andrew Ladd fitting in with John Tavares?? I feel because of the contract, he is going to get ample opportunities on the #1 line and the #1 powerplay!!

Is the Barclays Center ice really as bad as its reputation?
Yeah, it had its moments. To be dead honest, I think the worst ice I skated on all year was in Toronto.

The Islanders hired Chris Lamoriello as director of player personnel. Lamoriello, son of former Devils president and current Leafs general manager Lou Lamoriello, spent the past 21 years in the Devils organization, most recently as Senior VP of Operations and Albany Devils GM from 2001-2015.

Trainer Matt Nichol, who runs BioSteel Camp, has been working with the prospect this summer at St. Mike’s College Arena in Toronto. He’s noticed a significant change in Ho-Sang’s attitude heading into 2016-17.

Based on latest practice, seems like Capuano is going with these lines for now

    Ladd-Tavares-Chimera
    Nelson-Strome-Beauviller
    Lee-Barzal-Bailey
    Kulimen-Cizikas-Clutterbuck

Yep, that's Chimera playing with JT.

And actually, Barzal was the extra forward at practice but I can't imagine the Isles keeping him up just to have him sit in the press box. Can they?
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

He will do well as JT makes everyone he plays with better. I think where this helps JT is on the defensive end as he's never really had a wing that could play both sides of the puck.

Read the Posts piece on the atrocious ice at Barclays. Clutterbuck said it was the worst ice he has seen in a long time. They have plastic pipes !

The team needs to move asap (again)

I think if barclays invested in the proper piping they'd want islanders to re-negotiate the lease so that theres no more escape clauses .I doubt they'd want to shut down barclays for X amount of weeks of renovations only to have isles leave a few years later .

since barclays owns the nassau coliseum (renovated @ 13k seats but very few suites)a little part of me wonders if they simply ask the isles if they want to play there while still receiving the 50+ mil a year from barclays .I doubt the NHL would allow this , but you never know

Well you won't hear any players complaining about it anymore, as a gag order was imposed by their PR people.
