I guess i got a bit ahead of myself Should have known the Tankerleafs would blow it with 10 to go. Maybe the islanders were just experimenting with lines in anticipation of Okposo's return.

The Islanders were flat all night. They really didn't look good until there was about 10 minutes left, then they started to put on the pressure. I think Cappy wasn't happy with the way they were playing and started mixing lines. But Okposo comes back tonight so the Lee experiment is likely over as JT's winger. I'm not happy, he's been my best forward for a long stretch. I still believe he's better up there than Bailey, but there must be a defensive side that the coaches like about Bailey. As far as offense goes, Lee outproduced Bailey during his time on L1.

Did the Isles have a morning skate today? Just trying to figure out if it's certain that Lee is off L1.

Lol- same boat with Lee! I wanted to argue with everyone who was saying Bailey would stick because Lee has been so goddamn effective there- but after last nights game Im a lot more worried. Cap has Lee on the short leash and pulled him down the lineup- not Bailey- when adversity hit. The logic makes sense for the Isles- i mean anybody can sizzle with JT (cough, cough Kennedy, cough, cough)- wheras Lee should technically add some more scoring punch to L2. Pretty crappy for us spoiled Lee owners though- especially with playoffs looming, ugh...

Guess it doesn't matter where Lee lines up. Worked his ass off for the 1st goal of the game. He also spent time on PP1 for the 1st powerplay.

You are right about Lee. He just needs to play with guys who can get the puck into the offensive zone and that's where his game starts. I'd rather have a rusty Okposo on the top line then Kennedy, though.

Anyone else watch a lot of Islander games think Lee is the better fit with JT and Okposo? I'm sure there's a defensive element that Bailey brings, but since Lee has been bumped off that line they have gone ice cold. I've been saying since the start of the season he's the guy that should be on the LW for that line. I was totally shocked when Conacher started so many games there and Lee was playing in the minors. There must be something obvious that I'm missing here. Capuano has been so stubborn when it comes to Lee on that line. While Bailey has been OK, I don't think he brings anything to that line. You have 3 forwards all looking to make that perfect pass and no one crashing the net looking for the dirty goal. What am I missing????
