He shoots a lot and does a lot of good things offensively, but I think his offensive abilities will always be overshadowed as long as Byfuglien is on this team.

Huge win! It was great to see Burmistrov out there. Him winning 4 out of 4 draws will certainly help his cause, especially with Slater out for a while.

Let's hope the Jets keep the pedal to the metal against Washington!

This recap is really short. Here goes...

The Winnipeg Jets got completely owned, dominated, and embarrassed tonight. The entire staff and every single player ought to be ashamed and embarrassed. Not a single player showed up. All of this on home ice. All of this as the team in 1st place in their division. They clearly didn't want it. Disgraceful effort, no way around it. If they don't beat this team by 2 or 3 goals tomorrow, I'll start to question how good of a team the Jets really are.

    That's all.

This team has no pride at all. They are not close to being a playoff team. First place by default. What a ****ing disgrace.

No recap necessary for tonight. I'll give advice: start every Lightning player and if you don't have one go and sign one immediately even if for one game. The Jets are going to get demolished on Sunday.

They've won the past two games to get back on track. Tonight, one point would be considered a victory.

Here's a piece I wrote on players the Jets should target. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...trade-deadline

Trade deadline in less than a week. Will Chevy do something?

I didn't expect a win tonight, but they played with no effort at all.

Dustin Byfuglien is horrible on defense.

The Jets are not a playoff team. They're choking right before our eyes like the Thrashers used to. They cannot win a big game and with efforts like those they do not belong in the playoffs. A terrible first, a good second, and a terrible third. Inconsistency in game as well as game by game.

I have no faith in the management at this point. They don't even know the direction they want to head in. Either buy or sell. Cheveldayoff is proving to be scared to make a trade.

I can't see the Jets making the playoffs at this point. They should lose all three road games next week to teams that want it more. I project them to go 1-3 in the 4 games next week which would all but end any hope of playoffs.

As for the game today, they looked terrible for 70% of the game and good for 30%. That doesn't win you hockey games. Dustin Byfuglien belongs in the dog house. He's been the worst Jets player this season, arguably. Easily the worst in the past 15 games. I'd start to consider a switch to forward.

Cheveldayoff had an opportunity to improve the team for a playoff push but he failed to do so. The Jets could still make the playoffs, but it would be because their division is so **** bad. No emotion, no effort, no care. That describes the Jets the past week. 2-4 in last 6 games.

The Jets fail to address their depth issues. Cormier is playing like 2 minutes a game. Thorburn is being shifted on Kane's line. So many issues.

This team has to make a trade tomorrow.

The Jets continue to choke away their division lead. Three losses and counting...

I'm afraid it's all but over. This team looks dead and the GM nor coach is doing anything to address issues. The powerplay is horrendous. The fourth line is playing under 2:00 a game, sometimes even under 1:00. Forwards are playing defense. The Jets are a 1 and 1/2 line team. The coach doesn't even play his bottom lines anymore. I thought they said the Jets had depth? LOL.

    Great job, management.

The good news, Carolina also lost.

Trouba has signed with the Jets and will be joining the team soon.

Byfuglien is playing right wing on the top line with Ladd and Little in the 3rd. Wouldn't mind seeing this experiment last into next game to give it a good look. His defensive game has struggled mightily lately.

It's over. The Jets choked away playoffs worse than the Braves in the early 2000s. What a pathetic effort again. They don't deserve playoffs.

Chevy better sell, sell, and sell all day tomorrow. Bye bye Hainsey, Antropov, Wellwood, and every other UFA.

    The season is over.

Dustin Byfuglien's post-game interview with Sara Orlesky (I love her) was telling. He was surprised to be playing F in the 3rd period, and it's obvious he doesn't prefer it to D. He doesn't have the temperament for it. (Witness his impaired boating charge, and the back story.)

    Claude Noel seems desperate.

Haha. Don't forget they are in the Southeast Division but with the way Washington is playing recently they are the biggest threat.
