Help me choose my keepers...
So here are my options. I need to choose 8 of these players to keep for next season. My team is very competitive for the pool title every year (I finished third this year, despite Crosby's injury). The pool is points only (goals plus assists) with no positional requirements. For this pool I basically want the eight players who will produce the most right away -- within the next two years.
I have some serious depth here -- which is a bit of a problem because I have some tough choices to make and will certainly be throwing some very good performers back into the draft. I'm leaning toward Crosby, Kovalchuk, Backstrom, Kopitar, Staal and Duchene as for-sure picks. Leaving Eberle out is a concern (I left Stamkos unprotected after his rookie season thinking I'd be able to re-draft him and he went before I got the chance, so I'm hoping not to have a repeat of that with Eberle).

I agree with dyzfunctioned and SeaDawg.
it really comes down to picking two among Spezza, Semin, Carter, Krejci, Stastny, and Eberle...most everyone will keep the other 6 and then choose two from that group of 6.
Semin and Spezza are injury-prone, but likely have the highest upside (not counting Eberle because he likely won't reach his upside in two years, which is your window here)
one thing I factor'd in was who would be easiest to re-draft...and I think Spezza and Semin will be the least likely to re-draft
