Workin his way up the ladder! Good for him!

Ryan Murphy (1st rd), Khokhlachev (2nd rd), Noesen (3rd rd).... ugh.

[FWIW, I did land Klefbom in round 4, Brett Ritchie in round 5.)

Hehe, I love looking at these! Taking Mark McNeill over Kucherov, Saad, Scheifele, Hamilton, Jenner, Gibson, Klefbom... And these are just the names that were highly regarded at the time (I left out Rakell, Trocheck, Miller, ...)

I have my own ''collection'' of these so I can't judge but I can definitely relate to that New York manager
Keeper league 14 teams (H2H, 20 active players keep 16 NHLers, 16 minors)

C- Crosby, Barzal, Bennett, Schmaltz, Novak
W- Forsberg, Batherson, Nichuskin, Tuch, Konecny, Maccelli, Sharangovich, Bertuzzi, Kaliyev, Neighbours, Reichel
    D- Carlson, Rielly, Klingberg
    G- Hellebuyck, Demko, Merzlikins, Vejmelka

    Minors:
F: Fantilli, Cooley, Bourgault, Perreault, Cowan, Ohgren, N. Foote, Goyette, Iskhakov, Denisenko, Tracey
    D: Simashev, Willander, Lambos
G: Schmidt, Rodrigue, DiPietro, Gaudreau, McKay

This is great. Looking back on it now being a part of this league it's also pretty interesting.

Goes to show you that drafts are also extremely unpredictable from a fantasy standpoint too.

    BUMP-OF-THE-DAY

Refound this thread today on googling "Ryan Murphy".
Oh - a lesson in learning!

My first PROSPECT DRAFT in a keeper league... TEN YEARS AGO: 2011.
I ended up co-commissioning this league with Saskpool because the original Comish bailed after just 3 years.
Three things reminded me of this league.

    1. Seeing Saskpool post.
    2. That people can act like they know a good prospect to draft... and completely whiff (Murphy over Zibanajed!!!... Khoklachev over Scheifele!!!)... and
    3. The thread on commissioners and co-commissioners.

Ah... what a walk down memory lane.
FWIW - my Round 5 pick was TJ Tynan (not Brett Ritchie).
It's funny when you "draft" a guy... you end up tracking them for life.

    TJ Tynan...
.. who I've now been following for TEN YEARS. 10.
Now on the LA Kings after a point-per-game leading AHL season and being AHL player-of-the-year.
Those in the WHL can actually verify that I decided to "keep" TJ Tynan on my fantasy squad... I root for him that much.

The NHL is currently without a solid ginger (where IS Cody Eakin?) so I hope Tynan gets a shot at some point this year!
And Ryan Murphy - actually, like Tynan - has played well in the AHL... last year with the Henderson Silver Knights... this year he is property of the Red Wings.
He's on my WatchList at the ripe old age of 28.

Ha hah! Isn't it great to look back on our gaffes?!?
Terrible trades that haunt us from the past are also pretty funny.
