Roy continues his high praise about Chris Bigras:

“There’s nothing I didn’t like. Even when he was in trouble, he found a way to get back. He’s pretty amazing. I mean, I’m overwhelmed by him right now. I won’t say it’s a nice surprise, but he’s been better than we thought. He is, no doubt in my mind, someone we’re going to build around with the future of this franchise.”

Sounds like Roy has a full blown man crush on Bigras.

bloody hell. i watched a lot of the spring u18 tourney and he was my favorite on a pretty stacked canadian blueline that also had Morrissey, Bowey, Morin, and Theodore. i was kind of hoping he'd fly under the radar at least through the fall so I could pick him up and stash him without using a draft pick... and today I see marty select him. so much for that.

    That escalated quickly.....

haha great to see some intensity back in colorado. Not saying I want to see Roy knocking down glass dividers every night, but good to see some passion from the team in general.

This is exactly what I expected to see out of this team this year, and it was a phenomenal game and atmosphere.

Roy won't pull stuff like that all the time, but with 2 mins of a tirade and $10K he's got the entire team buying in and already fully supporting their coach... Sacco couldn't get that from the locker room in 4 years.

I'm convinced . I think this team is going to be crazy fun to follow. Mackinnon is a stud.

I have been having a real good week so I hit them hard -1.5 at plus +190.

Stats will put up 50 pts. this season, especially once Landy returns to the lineup. He's still getting regular shifts on the PP and the PK... unfortunately Roy is using the Stats line in more of a shutdown roll at the moment, but he will be able to chip in, in other ways.

This is completely selfish, but im completely annoyed that Mackinnon isnt getting any powerplay time. He had a sniff in the one game Landeskog missed, but once Lando returned Mack went back to no powerplay time.

I know its just a matter of time (hopefully weeks and not months) before Mack will force his way onto the powerplay but in the meantime its frustrating

Many consider the bruins to be the best team in the league, or at least in the top 3. Yet even they couldn't win a grind it out game vs the Avalanche.

I mean, I knew the avs would be better this season under Roy, but THIS good, this fast?

No one thought Colorado would win the cup in 1996 when they first started the season as a sucky-ass team that just moved to the west - but that was before Patrick Roy came into the picture.

Are they doing what everyone has been thinking the Oilers would do for 2 seasons now?
