Krejci not a skate today and Spooner looks to be his replacement,

David Krejci not present for skate.

Looks like Spooner with Lucic and Horton. Letting him loose.

So if this Iginla trade is indeed true, how do the lines shake out in Boston?

The only person I see sliding out of the top six would be Horton.

    Lucic-Krejci-Iginla?
    Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin
    ???(Kelly if not inj)-Peverley-Horton

The deal really helps their depth, but they could use someone better than Spooner or Caron or Daugavins (or Paille, yuck) in the #9 slot, no?

Just give Iggy some power play time. That's all I care about.

No worries there, he's getting plenty in Pittsburgh now.

Boston has traded prospect Lane MacDermid, Cody Payne and a conditional 2nd round pick (becomes a 1st if Bruins make conference finals) to Dallas for Jaromir Jagr.

My take: (Sorry Shake, not trying to steal your thunder, but I miss weighing in on this stuff)
The two prospects were not even in the top 10 on the depth chart so they were easily expendable. I did like their toughness but they were not going to have an impact in Boston anytime soon.

The condition on the pick is interesting but well worth it from the B's standpoint.

I truly believe that Julien will shuffle his lines now resulting in one of Marchand/Horton being bumped to the third line. Jagr has to line up with Krejci. With Kelly set to return soon, the Bruins will once again have three scoring lines much like they did in 2011. Plus, they may not be fully done just yet.

Jagr will also be the go to guy on the PP from now on. We all know how desperately we need that!

    Default Daydreaming about the playoffs

Just got thinking a little bit about the playoffs and what some potential matchups could be. When this popped into my head, I couldn't think of a better road to the final. If Montreal were to win the division (just threw up in my mouth a little typing that), the perfect path could conceivably happen.

Round 1 - Boston vs Toronto in 4 vs 5, all top seeds advance
Round 2 - Boston vs Pittsburgh, Habs beat Southleast division champ
Conference Finals - Boston vs Montreal

Cap it all off by facing the Canucks in the Finals and you have quite possibly the ultimate road to Lord Stanley's Cup that a Bruins fan could ever hope for.

Obviously this is a pipe dream (I mean c'mon, Montreal winning the division?) but it's kind of fun to think about.

only ranting b/c I'm facing Price in two playoff matchups ...

but would it kill boston to take a sog when they are on the powerplay, with the goalie pulled, trailing 2-1 in the last minute against the habs???

wtf no one even looked to shoot ... just passing the puck around with 30 secs left ... you can do that when you are winning by a goal

Bruins faithful lost one of theirs in Martin Richard, the youngest fatality of the marathon tragedy. Saw his picture at a game sporting his Bruins hat a shirt. RIP little man.
My thoughts and prayers to all the victims of this cowardly act of violence.

    Default Bruins game vs. Pit

Talk that this game may be postponed depending on how the manhunt situation in Boston goes. Least of concern is the game but man would this screw up the fantasy playoffs for people who had Bruins on their roster this week if two games got postponed.

As much as I want the game to go on tonight to show we are to strong to be shutdown, the best move is to cancel the game.
