Studs & Duds 2/21/2013

Studs & Duds 2/21/2013

First, apologies for the delay in getting today’s studs & duds up. It’s just been one of those days.

Studs

To be a stud today, you needed 2 goals last night:

Pacioretty has picked up where he left off last season and is improving. He’s 2 goals last night put him on a point per game pace this season. He’s a must own LWer in fantasy.

Horton gave the Bruins the edge last night with his two goals. Although he’s not back to his pre-concussion form, he’s still effective and quite fantasy worthy. If only he’d get a few more penalties.

Van Riemsdyk had another great game. Put him into a tie with Stamkos and Tavares with 11 goals (thanks, Nights!). A fantastic acquisition for the Leafs!

Last night’s top stud has to go to Huberdeau. With 2 goals and 2 assists, it’s a big night for the kid. He has to be a front runner for the Calder at this point.

Duds
Bryzgalov definitely benefitted from Tippet’s system in Pheonix. He was awful for a good portion of last year. He has been hit or miss this year. He was off last night. In a H2H league, I would be able to trust him. Four goals on 15 shots will do that to you.

Calling Big Buff! Where are you? Nearly non-existent on the scoreboard last night and has been very quiet since returning from injury. In 5 games he’s had no points and only 6 shots. Dud or still nursing an injury?

While he has been better in February, a .896 SvPct and 3.27 GAA is not even backup worthy, let alone the status that starter Cam Ward has. In his last 5 games, he’s only saved 90% of the shots once. Is this the same Cam Ward that was brutal at the start of last season and stellar at the end? Let’s hope so.

If you were a chef that might actually work.

Funny thing. A knock came to my door last night.. I told him he could only have the pot pie if he got on the scoreboard on Saturday night.

Expect some production tonight boys! :)

So, now you've just gone and pissed Buff off....turned him away from the pot pie?

Here's hoping for a Saturday night Stud performance.......

No worries bumchilly25. He had 12 servings of the stuff. We should see good things.
