Trade offered for my Ovechkin...interest starting to rise.
I was just offered Parise/Reimer for Ovie. Not a great offer but I'm looking to win this year and will make what ever moves are needed without morgaging the future.
Edit: he also has P. Kane I was about to offer another GM a deal using Ovie/Lindback for Rask/Semin...I personally like this deal but I'm not sure the GM would take it. My goalies would dominate the 4 cats. |
with only 4 keepers there is no need to trade ovechkin. u have ovy, crosby, sequin, quick. you arent gonna do better than that.
as for win now. doing either of those trades wont really give u the edge if u dont have it already. ovechkin has been producing pretty well as of late. him and ribs are connecting well. |
Agreed, what do you think of me going after Karlsson? He could easily become my 4th keeper. It would cost my Ovie but I might be able to get Kessel/Karlsson for Ovie and a fringe forward (I'd need to drop a player anyway to add karlsson)...then he can be placed on IR freeing up a spot.
Keepers would be Sid, Karlsson and 2 of Seguin, Quick, Yakupov and Benn. |
Another rejection and another counter offer. This time he offered Parise/Skinner(post concussion) for Ovie...this too was rejected. I asked him to stop offering me injured players...lol
Looking at his squad though there might be something that helps me both now and next season. My Ovie/McDonald/5th for his Sharp/Reimer/1st...may be asking a little much with the 1st??? I have to send McDonald his way as I'd have to drop a player anyway. I love Sharp's game. Edit: Also, there's a GM in desperate need of a goalie. I could always offer Lindback or Reimer to him once Reimer proves himself healthy. |

If you're in a position to win now I wouldn't be trading for Karlsson. It would be nice to have Karlsson no doubt but if you have a chance and judging by your team, you do go for it NOW. Also, if you were to keep Karlsson I'm assuming you wouldn't be keeping a goalie which would be a mistake IMO.
