Here's the sitch
So thanks to Breezy and Quickster evening out Hurlamov's ugly performance on Monday...I sit with the following goalie stats:
3W, 2.00GAA, .926%, 1SO My opponent has yet to get a goalie start as he has an injured Lehtonen, a struggling Elliott, Holtby, and he just picked Ray Emery off the wire. Here comes the hard part. I've got (unconfirmed) Bryz @ PIT Hurlamov vs. STL Quick @ CGY. As of right now Bernier is listed as probable...but would you play Bryz and Hurlamov? |

Id be tempted to sit them all for the rest of the week and let your opponent try and catch you. Halak is apparently back in net tonight - http://www.foxsportsmidwest.com/02/2...97&feedID=3568

I'd start Bryz, but I dont know about Varly vs St Louis.

Sit all of your goalies today. You can afford to pick favorable matchups the rest of the week. No reason to start goalies on away games or Varly at all this week. Avs D is just brutally bad without EJ.

Bryzgalov's last 5 starts: good, crappy, good, crappy, good. I feel a crappy one coming tonight against the Pens.
|
Concur with the rest... you have a nice cushion, and I don't particularly like your match-ups tonight. Sit them, and let him play catchup.
You're safe on ratios and SO's, so I probably wouldn't start another game unless he gets 1-2 wins under his belt, and even then, if you're ahead on the skater stats I would just probably lock in the other 3 cats and let the wins land wherever. At the very least, don't start Hurlamov. |
Bench 'em all.

How are the rest of the categories going? If you're winning overall then shut your goalies down for the week. Maybe the opponent wins something like save percentage but would be unlikely to steal enough points from you for it to matter.

Me: 4G 7A -6 10PIM 2PPP 36SOG Him: 1G 3A -4 19PIM 1PPP 28SOG His schedule has him sitting with quite a few man games more than myself. I am lucky though as he's currently carrying Frattin/Pitkanen which is burning two roster spots and he also has an injured Jeff Skinner. |
