[Cage Match Tournament] #3 Brunner vs. #6 Silfverberg
UH OH! It's the second week of the Cage Match Rookie Tournament!
If you missed Week One, don't fret you can still vote here. Hopefully you know the drill with these but just in case let's brake it down. Each week there will be four matchups for you to choose a winner. The winner moves on to the next round. The last player standing is the top rookie. The criteria for you to vote on are simple: - No goalies - No defensemen - No positions - Points only keeper league with one caveat - Don't be a perpetually rebuilding knucklehead. No one has ever won a fantasy league with just potential so value this season ABSOLUTELY matters. Vote your hearts out! #1 Huberdeau vs. #8 Foligno #2 Tarasenko vs. #7 Kreider #4 Conacher vs. #5 Gallagher |
I went with Silfverberg here. Brunner is playing with some serious studs right now but those studs are slowing down and getting older. Meanwhile, Silfverberg is playing on a younger team who are up and coming. I like his situation going forward.

silfverberg is still playing well with half the teams talllent on the IR.
|
I was thinking this would be the closest one yet adn the vote is bearing that out so far.
I took Brunner because I think for right now and the next few years, he definitely outproduces Silfverberg. However, long-term upside I think goes to the Sens rookie. |
Damien Brunner for me boss.
|
Long-term upside goes to Silfverberg, but with the rules of this tournamenrt, I think you have to pick Brunner. He should outproduce Silfverberg this year and in the coming one or two as well.
|
Wow Silfverberg winning. People are not focusing on the win-now aspect of this tournament AT ALL.
|
Last chance to vote!
|
C'mon now, Silfverberg? Did Ev vote 41 times?
The man specifically said this season matters, and not only is Brunner heads-and-shoulders above Silf this year he has a much better supporting cast of characters. Silfverberg may have the better long term upside but it will be long time before that is realized. |
