Giroux has been proposed to me...

I give up Blake Wheeler / Joe Pavelski and I get Giroux.

Thoughts on this?

No brainer iyam. If you had hits and a couple other back end stats it would maybe be a bit tougher...then again, GIroux does all of that. Do it!

I'd do it too. Out of curiosity though, how do you get him into your lineup with only two center positions? Does he has other eligibility in your league? You throw him into the utility slot (and if so, who comes out)?

Giroux is a C/RW in my league. Pav is a C/RW as well and Wheeler is a RW

i dont know i would be tempted to stand pat in a 1 year league to be honest

I wouldn't do this deal in a one-year and I would have to think about it for a long time to consider it in a keeper as well.

Stand pat for now, remember it's a shortened season and it looks like Giroux is missing someone that has moves like Jagger ;)

Cheers

Giroux

No brainer. Yes. This is a classic 2 for 1 except it's being offered to you. The only reason to say no to this is if you are worried about Giroux picking his play back up to last years standards. Don't be. Remember, you should be concerned with how the player is going to produce from this point on...and Giroux has a lot of producing to do, IMO.

I woudn't be able to hit accept fast enough. You get the best player by far. Anyone who thinks that Giroux isn't a superstar all on his own without players like Jagr (who he outscored by 30 or 40 pts last year) isn't givning him enough credit.

Giroux will be on a tear in no time.

would you suggest a counter offer?

He has:
Patrick Marleau
Derek Stepan
Evander Kane
Milan Michalek
Patric Hornqvist
Byfuglien
Pietrangelo
Drew Doughty
Brent Seabrook
John Carlson
Dany Heatley
Claude Giroux
Kyle Okposo
Daniel Alfredsson

Marc-Andre Fleury
Corey Crawford
Evgeni Nabokov

Thanks Shingy, i was sort of thinking along your lines but everyone's opinion here is crucial. I respect the Do's and Don'ts - Just need to feel it out.

You could look to counter offer. There's probably a few tweeks you could do...but, one big faux pas here is to ruin an already good thing. No doubt he thinks he offered you a fair deal here, I'd take it or risk losing the deal altogether.

I'd also treat every Flyer game like your last chance to acquire Girioux, cause it very well could be.
