Pitkanen
Pitkanen apparently left Tuesday's game with an LBI:
The Canes played the third period without defenseman Joni Pitkanen, who left late in the second with a lower-body injury. Muller said after the game that he did not know of the severity of Pitkanen's injury. "Losing (Pitkanen) was a big blow for us tonight," Muller said. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/201...pel-canes.html |
Hmmm. I've been waiting for this.
Here's the thing. If Pitkanen misses games, is there a bonifide QB? I've read pp time on ice in Faulk's favour and Corvo and McBain. Would there be a clear favourite? Whoever it is, this could be big, especially if Pitkanen is gone for a while and with his injury past, its a possibility. Can't find anything. |

But assuming it's anything, I agree with your assessment of the PP situation. I think it'd be a clear win for Faulk, followed by Corvo, followed by McBain (though all would see an uptick in PP time as a result). |
Well it looks like he's day to day with a lower body.

Joni Pitkanen left Saturday's game with a lower body injury.
Pitkanen returned from a lower body injury on Saturday, but logged just 6:02 minutes in his return. It's not clear at this time if he's aggravated his original injury or if this is an entirely new problem. Source: Chip Alexander on Twitter Mar 2 - 8:25 PM |
Any updates on the prognosis?

Via twitter about 4 hrs ago.
Chip Alexander @ice_chip Pitkanen did some early skating before the morning skate, Muller said. Still "day to day." |
Thanks. Losing Pitkanen, Green and Karlsson has been a killer for me this year.
