Pietrangelo?????
Has anyone had a chance to watch the blues lately? What's going on with Pietrangelo -8 in his last 5 games, and an ugly -3 last night, I realize the blues are in a bit of a rutt but it seems like there's a pattern of Pietrangelo being on the ice for most of the goals they get against them.

I havent seen many Blues games lately but I watch the highlights every day. I realize highlights dont tell the whole story, but from the highlights I have seen, you could drive a Mac truck through Elliots legs lately. He hasnt been overly strong, which of course shows up on the stats sheets as a minus for the guys on the ice when he gives up weak ones.

on a serious note though, the Blues have been terrible of late...lost 5 straight and giving up a ton of goals. He logs a lot of ice time so he's been hurt by it quite a bit. The Blues are too good a team to keep this up though, so once they get their shit together it should settle out |
the coach has called out elliot. said he just needs to play better. halak is back now and things should straighten out.

Somewhat unrelated but this is exactly why I don't like to use playoff series to evaluate anything long-term. The sample size is so small that any stat looks extreme. The Blues are struggling but it's not like Pietrangelo turned into Tyler Myers.

Pietrangelo has been solid, playing 26-28 minutes a night in the last few games. The Blues as a whole have struggled to score. Backes and Tarasenko very cold now. I'm always impressed with Pietrangelo - he will win a Norris or more in the near future.

Elliot looks like a beer league goalie out there.

Need more love for Shattenkirk

St-Louis has 2 studs on their blue-line. Their best 2 fantasy options right now are d-men, I don't think there's another team in the league like that. |
