My Vanek/Purcell for Perry/Dupuis should I? REP
A GM offered me this deal:
My Vanek+Purcell for Perry+Dupuis What do you guys think? ill most likely drop Dupuis and grab someone else from FA, but is this a good deal for me for this year and next season? I only get to keep three players this year, so I may not end up keeping Perry depending how he performs for the rest of the season, but its soo tantalizing I want to hit yes now lol. What should I do? |
I would rather have the Vanek and Purcell combo than Perry and Dupuis.
|
I think Perry is a much better keeper than Vanek in your format (hell, in any format), so yes I'd definitely pull the trigger.
Great time to sell high on Vanek. |
Purcell and Dupius are pretty much the same player in my books, each guy getting to play with their superstar linemates.
So it comes down to Perry vs Vanek. While its tough to trade Vanek right now I belive Perry will regain his form and out produce Vanek (fantasy wise). |

i would rather perry than nash personally
and i think perry is selling plenty high on vanek the guy is 9th in points from 09-10 through today only 2 points out of 7th he is 4th in goals over that same time period i take it he wouldnt go for a straight up deal |

for me, talent trumps all as well. |
I'd rather have Perry over Seguin and Nash both, not that it really matters in the context of this thread.
This is a tough trade to make because of how hot Vanek is right now, but where my bigger concern lays, is in the difference between Purcell and Dupuis, I believe that Purcell is leaps and bounds better than Dupuis. But I still make the trade you are selling high on Vanek, and buying low on Perry, you are getting the best player in the deal, and of course Perry is a multi-cat stud. |
