This just in...

Washington is still garbage.

Holy cow. You get a gift of a goal in that lucky one from Carlson, and instead of build on that on your home ice you proceed to give up three straight goals.

Nice. What a garbage team.

I'm starting to wonder if McPhee is the problem... they hit a little skid 3 and a bit years ago and he's spent his time since whipping the steering wheel back and forth trying to regain control...

Three coaches (4 if you count both of Boudreau's attempts) and a slew of personel changes and they still have same problems.

Read something on the weekend (I think in the Sun), that brought up an interesting point. Washington doesn't hit experienced coaches. Instead, they opt for rookie coaches and hope to find success that way.

Oates, hunter, Boudreau, Hanlon and Cassidy. The last five Washington coaches, none had NHL head coaching experience before they got the gig.

Maybe it's time to bring in an experienced guy?

I've thought it was McPhee for awhile now.....a team doesn't go from scoring 400 goals and winning President's Trophy's to trash just because. The players are the same, and yet their production has been cut in half because of some decree from management to play defense. Retarded. Your team is built to score, play to your strengths.

Oh, and don't half of your lineup be complete AHL garbage.....it makes it hard for the actual talent to do much of anything.

Luongo should be afraid to end up in Washington........
