Who is the best pick up? I'm looking for points this year and also considering the future.

Yes drop kris Russell.
All those names listed are pretty average though, I'd probably go with Foster for this year only.
Blum, well we all thought he was going to be good but he's stalled a bit now, he may turn it around but I don't see him playing this season.

Are there others on waivers, more unknown guys like matt irwin and Andre Benoit? One of them might be a better option

if you have to have a d, I'm watching Kindl (or Smith) in Det, he will over run Smith for the spot. Det has no one now that Lidstrom is gone.
A Det PP QB is a great add.
