Bad news.....he is not at the practice today either. No reason has been given.

Any news on if they called someone up to back up Elliot next game?

Jake Allen I'm guessing?

From TSN:

The St. Louis Blues will have to play without one half of their goaltending tandem after placing Jaroslav Halak on injured reserve on Sunday.

The 27-year-old netminder suffered a groin injury in the first period of the Blues' 5-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Friday and is expected to be out at least a week.

He will miss the next two games and the Blues hope to have him back practicing on Friday.

Halak was pulled shortly after surrendering Henrik Zetterberg's second goal and Brian Elliot finished the game.

Halak is in his third season with the Blues after being acquired in a deal with the Montreal Canadiens, the team that drafted him 271st overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

To replace Halak on the roster, the Blues have recalled 22-year-old goaltender Jake Allen from the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League.

This is huge for Elliott owners.

Not really. Its only 2 or 3 games and when he gets back, they will go back to the normal rotation. 1 and 1A.
