Hamels trade offered to me
League in sig. I'm keeping the max of 20 this year. This offer surprised me a little because the owner was never willing to deal Hamels before.
We start 4 SP each week. Big 2-starters are usually the way to go His: Span (usefulness to me?) - 380pts last year Parker - 386pts Hamels - 541pts My: Gallardo - 468pts Josh Johnson - 352pts (down year) Dylan Bundy I don't like the idea of giving up Bundy here. Johnson and Gallardo I would do but the Bundy things really sours me on it. Thoughts? Put Taillon in instead of Bundy? Wilson instead of Gallardo? Wilson Johnson Taillon? Aaah! Would love to have Hamels. thx |
At the very least try taking bundy out then and adding someone. From the looks of it he's wanting bundy.
Take out span and bundy and deal!! |

Not as high on JJ as I used to be, so he's not a huge loss. I'm hoping he doesn't consider Span as a "throw in" from his side. |
you will forever regret trading bundy. don't.
hamels>gallardo...by a lot. ok to make an altered deal where you appear to be giving up more, just to get hamels, as long you keep bundy. he has likely read about hamels' sore shoulder. if not, send him a quote, and say you are nervous about dealing for cole...then deal for him/ at a reduced cost. |
If you can switch Bundy out then yes.
But i don't think Hamels is that much better then Gallardo. |
I'd be open to the trade if you were getting someone other than Span.

He's got some other fielders that I know he's not moving with Hamels and a very short pitcher bench. Hamels, Parker, Minor, uh....Hughes. Oh and Bauer. Those are the notables. For some reason he's also keeping Masterson and Leake. We can have 10 SP max and I have 11 this off-season with Skaggs "up", so I need to make at least a 2 for 1 deal. I would love to keep Gallardo of course. I'm going to see if he'll take Wilson, Johnson and something else. I don't know what would be too little or too much here. Taillon? I like Taillon but if it gets me Hamels.... hm. |

Took Bundy out. He likes this offer:
Josh Johnson, CJ Wilson, Kolten Wong + my 1st pick in the re-draft for Hamels We can keep between 15 and 20 guys in this league, so the 1st pick is kind of a big deal in these things. Since I'm keeping the max of 20 and other guys are keeping closer to 15, I would expect my pick to be in the 18th to 22nd area. Maybe 25th. My rotation would be: Hamels, Gallardo, Zimmerman, Medlen, Lincecum (eep), Sanchez, Harvey, Hellickson, Garcia, Skaggs, Hanson (another eep). Taillon and Bundy waiting in the wings. This gives me 10 SP, which is another limit in our league. If I wasn't able to cut down to the 10, I was thinking of trading Hellickson away for a first or second round pick. What do you guys think? I don't even need to focus on SP really, but he started the offers! 1B is my priority. Wilson is 1 year removed from out-pointing Hamels by a slight magin. Johnson is 2 years removed from out-pointing him. I get easily the best player in the trade. |
I take the Hamels deal.
CJ is overrated. JJ i'm not that high on. Wong is ok. The pick might be the worst thing you lose. But you get a great SP. |
