Jagr worth a pick up?
 

Just got my butt handed to me in week one with an 11-1 loss. Second to last in every offensive category aside from GWG (total crapshoot) and SOG, still bottom half for those too.


I guess the GM with Jagr got impatient when he got hurt, but he's already back and playing tonight...so is there room for him on my squad?

I'll have #1 waiver dibs for him.

With team/league in my signature, who would I drop to make room? Or keep what I have for now?

I'm getting impatient with Voracek as he seems to fail to 'breakout' every year.

Other notable RW's are Stewart, Okposo, Hemsky, Kassian, Brunner (C eligible, too...really considering him before Jagr became available).


What to do, what to do? Any advice is greatly appreciated!



Edit: Not to hijack my own thread, but looking at my team Cammelleri looks expendable as well, and Conacher is still on the waivers as C,LW.

I'd say drop Cammy for either of those guys. There's way more talent surrounding them than there is surrounding Cammalleri.

Thanks for the input...would you suggest dropping Cammelleri AND another player to add both Conacher and Jagr? Or just one of the two?

Wait, do you have Voracek? If so, I'd probably drop him for Conacher and probably Cammalleri for Jagr although because it's Cammy I might give him a few more games to see what's really going on. I was at the Canucks v Flames game last Tuesday and he seemed pretty invisible.

Yeah I do have Voracek. I was at the Devils/Flyers game last week and the Flyers got shutout, Voracek was invisible as well. I know it's real early in the season and Philly's offense can't be this bad for that long, but I'm not sure I have enough faith to keep Voracek and hope he produces more than he ever has in the past. I've drafted him for 3 years straight now and it's always the same result (of course if I drop him he'll prove me wrong).

Haven't gotten to see any Flames games this year, but they seem like they'll be pretty brutal (not good since I have Kipper). Don't know what Cammelleri's deal is, but if his production would be comparable to Conacher then I'd rather have the guy on the better team, and that would be the Lightning.


I always try to be patient, but I've never done fantasy in a short season like this. Starting to think these early reads may make or break my season.

I think I'll make those two swaps...Thanks again for your input!
