Parise vs St. Louis

I need a RW and a guy in my league is desperate for a LW.... as a straight swap would this be fair seeing as I'm going for the W and he is in bit of a rebuild?

I would stick with Parise, his situation in Minnesota is awesome, I'm expecting a huge year for him.

I would hold onto Parise and explore other trade opportunities. Maybe Hall for St Louis?

You know, I really, really like St Louis. A LOT. My first inclination was 'why not?'

But given your scoring stats, which are slightly goal-heavy, I'd be a bit non-inclined to do the deal.

Parise could very quickly get back to being a top goal-scorer. IE- 35-40 in a full year. St Louis simply isn't a huge goal guy - becoming a distributor par excellence, as evidenced by his 4 assists last night.

However, given your needs (bit soft on RW, stacked on LW) I wouldn't yell at you for making the deal b/c StLouis is a stud, and should be for a few more years.

But methinks your scoring DOES favour Parise. B

In a keeper with your stats I would be looking for more than St Louis in return for Parise. You can't ignore that age difference.

Agree entirely with wendelclark17. St. Louis is still fantastic, but he's starting to get a bit up there in age to be considered in a 1-for-1 swap with Parise in my opinion.

Keep Parise, you'll be glad you did.

Agree completely - MSL's age makes Parise the far better option.

I bet MSL outscores Parise in points this year, and perhaps even several more years. He really takes care of himself (like Selanne)... I don't think he'll be declining any time soon.

Having said that, Parise is the better option in your particular format.
