My Ovechkin, Carter and Vokoun
For
His Perry, Zetterberg and Bernier

(all i wanted was Bernier for Vokoun before he's moved). He countered with Tarasenko, bernier
For
My Ryan and Bachman.

Trying to cash in in Tarasenko value...but with Kessel and yakupov already at RW...I have no room.

Thoughts on that first huge move? Consider my team below...
After keepers would be
C- Tavares, zetterberg or granlund
L- Hall, Ryan
R- Perry, Kessel
Util - 2 of...yakupov, Bernier or Backstrom(G) or Granlund, Ribeiro, Clowe
D- Doughty, Edler, Phaneuf, OEL
G - Bryz and Halak.

Help me out guys!

i would feel a lot more comfortable knowing bernier was already a number 1 goalie

i actually think the trade is reasonably even and would probably do it

With the kings playing so bad they make keep Bernier. That's just my thinking.

Exactly...risky sure. But I have Bryz, Halak, Backstrom and Theodore already. I can only keep 2...(3 if I burn a utility spot) goalies. If he's not moved or moved.to a.bad spot...Big deal. He's not kept.

But this alsonget me out grounder ovie's cloud and the??? Of today's Carter and the anemic LA offense. Lose on the LW...but replace with zetts...keeping Hall and Ryan...then bolster rw with perry to Kessel and Yakupov.

Focus less on the tenders. I know it's a big boom / bust situation.

What's your thoughts on Ovie vs Perry and Zetterberg vs Carter?

in practice the last few seasons favor the side you are getting and if that predicts the future you come out ahead in this

even if all the players involved repeat their top seasons you are only -6 in points and that is a pretty big if

that minus 6 in points is goals and assists points i didnt crunch the actual numbers for your league

As you can see in my sig I own both OV and Carter and as an owner I would gladly move them for Perry and Zetterberg. I do still think that OV can turn it around but to be honest I'm feeling less in less confident that he will. Originally I thought it was the whole coaching debacle and changing WAS to a defensive system. Now I'm left thinking it's that massive contract that's impacting his overall play...with that said it's still very early in the "Oates era" so I'm still holding out hope.

As for Carter? Stick a fork in him. He's done as far as I'm concerned. I don't see ever surpassing 70pts again and frankly I think he's in tough to reach 60pts on a semi-regular basis.

I do like Perry a lot but you're pretty stacked at RW. He's in a contract year so I'm expecting good numbers out of him this year and I think he has the talent to continue to flirt close to a PPG for several more seasons.

Zetterberg will likely start to see his numbers decline but I still think he'll be a consistent 65-75pts guy for many seasons.

I take this deal.

Failing that...and considering my rosters below...what do you think about losing Ryan for Bernier and Tarasenko?

I'd definitely have to move one of terasenko, yak or granlund...but Ryan??

I'd be left with ovie and hall on the left wing and a ton on rw.

Wierd thing I noticed...if you check out yak...he's listed as a lw and rw on many sites. If he can become lw eligible it would ease the loss of ryan.

Limited keeper where you wouldn't keep Bernier? I say no...not right now anyways. You're team is very solid. If Tarasenko's flame starts I'd feel more comfortable with the vet Ryan and the added bonus of him being a LW keeper shouldn't be underestimated given your team dynamic.
