Burrows or Peron? Rep

Drop Burrows for Perron? League in Sig

Perron is certainly a more talented offensive player, as displayed by his point totals. The only real concern I have is health related, as one more concussion could prove disastrous. However, since St. Louis has a ton of depth, I don't see them ever playing him to the point of danger.

Burrows is arguably safer, lower risk but definitely lower reward. I'd personally take that chance since it doesn't seem Burrows is a crucial part of your roster overall.

I'd roll with Perron. Similarly productive guys, but Perron has the higher ceiling.

EDIT: Plus, Kassian looks like a good fit with the Twins. So, Burrows may not see much time with that deadly combo.

I'll take Perron. He's better at generating offense. I think he stands a better chance at getting an opportunity elsewhere too.

I like Burrows here because of the depth factor in StLouis. They have even more talent than last year and it just seems like a different combo is taking over every night. Burrows is going to have his shot with the twins, plus he'll get you a good amount of PIM and a very good plus-minus.

Canucks fan voting for Peron.

I think that's a really good counter argument BUT a good situation for Burrows is at best temporary, ditto for Perron being stuck on the second line etc. His talent is permanent. Plus, Burrows isn't really a top PIM etc guy anyway. He's got more real life value as an agitator than a legit fighter/goon.

Give me Perron here.

There has been countless posts about every STL player and the first comment is about the depth of their fwds but really there is a pecking order and I have to believe Perron is near the top of that heap. Evrybody seems to be too quick to write off StL fwds because of the depth, which may (or may not) be warranted.

If Burrows isn't top line, then my choice is Perron.

Canucks_fan18 01-25-2013 03:55 PM

I agree with alot of things said here, I wouldnt even consider droping Burrows if he was still on the top line but hes been moved to second line center until they hash that situation out I think Perron might be the better choice.
