Atkinson was not present at Saturday morning's skatearound, the Columbus Dispatch's Aaron Portzline reports.

Recommendation: Atkinson wasn't able to play Thursday, and his absence Saturday morning could be a sign that he's in danger of missing another game despite his previous statement that he expects to play Saturday.

And I bet that is being optimistic too. Those often linger for months. Would have been nice to actually see him play more than game to start the season too....

Anyone hearing anything on this? I know he's expected to return soon. I need to free up an IR spot as Letang just went down.
