Z Kassian
Multi-cat stud in the making it appears. Is this year his coming out party? Chances he stays with the Sedins?
|
The injuries and lack of depth is a blessing for him right now. They got no choice but to keep throwing him out there. It's all valuable training for him, especially if he can stick with the Sedins and do all their dirty work in the corners and in front of the net for them.

Real impressed watching this kid against the flames. He's exactly what VAN needed and has all the incentive to fill up the stat sheet and prove his worth. My main league count's hits and PIMs, so he was kind of a no brainer, even in a one year.
|
He looked great last night, my league also includes PIMS and Hits. Can't decide if I should drop Dorsett for him, I'll prob stay put for now and watch him over a couple more games. I know Dorsett will continue to get lots of ice time. :)

Should I drop Hagelin for him?
|
A lot of power forwards like him struggle with consistency and I think he's far from being a finished product. In multi-cat leagues he should be fine because hits and PIM are more predictable and easy to obtain than G and A.

Daoust,
Did you see Kassian play much being from ONT yourself? What's he need to improve? Correct me if I'm wrong, but to me he plays more like a skilled scorer/shooter in a big mans body than a "power forward" per se. 6'3 legs are money in today's NHL and let's not forget he was the 13th overall pick in 2009 (after Kadri/Schenn). I'll take guys that can move like this any day of the week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciVzPGf4xLQ Obviously he'll be expected to play a gritty role for the Nucks, but I wouldn't sell him short in points. |
