Perry + OEL for Sharp + Goli + Wideman ***Deal Amended
 

Hey Guys,

Looking for help on an offer. He really wants Perry and OEL, he has sent Sharp, Goligoski and Wideman. I don't think this is enough as I am giving up the two best players IMO.

With Subban not signed and Elliott not playing, I am now relying on an unsigned Subban and Robidas. I could use the D help but is this worth it.

He does have Giroux so not sure if substituting Giroux for Sharp would be fair. I think that OEL's upside IMO is worth Goli and Wideman.

Thoughts?

I would keep what you have. It is NOT worth it. And I definitely see him NOT parting with Giroux for those players. I don't think you have a match either way. If you keep forcing it, one of you will end up being a BIG loser. Sometimes the best deal is NO DEAL.

That offer is AWFUL. You have the 2 best players in that deal by a long shot. Obviously, adding Giroux makes it a lot better, but, your trade partner probably doesn't want to go there. With PIMs being part of your stats, Perry should light it up this year.

Perfect answers...exactly my train of thought. In a win now mode I think the Giroux, Goli and Wideman offer is pretty decent return but other than that I don't see a deal being reached...thanks for the reiteration.

He changed the deal to:

Sharp, Goligoski and Kaberle for my Zajac and OEL

I think Goli and OEL are close fantasy wise and Sharp is a pretty good upgrade over Zajac.

Am I crazy to not accept this or am I overvaluing OEL that much?

I wonder how much OEL will be limited as long as Yandle is still there. Being points only (pretty much) I would think Goligoski is a good replacement. I could even see Goligoski outpoint OEL in the short term. Long-term who knows, but Goligoski is the #1 D in Dallas so if he's a consistent 40+ producer then I wouldn't complain. Sharp over Zajac is a solid upgrade as well.

Personally, I would tell him to remove Kaberle as you'd have to drop someone unnecessarily and just make it: Sharp/Goligoski for Zajac/OEL. But you know how much you like OEL so up to you - just trying to give an unbiased opinion.
