Craig Anderson - Sens medical testing.

Nothing really much to see here, but a couple tidbits to pass along.

The Sens had their medical evaluations today and Anderson had a resting heart rate of 40-45 and has waaaayyy better than perfect vision as he has 20/10 eye sight.

Impressive heart rate for a goalie. Looks like he stayed in shape during the lockout even though he wasn't in any world class leagues.

Take it as a good sign for now. When he shuts out Winnipeg on opening night, we will all think back and remember this post and realize the signs were there and we should have started him.

The ball is in your court.

Ok, I'll start him but if he screws up. . . :)

A well-trained endurance athlete has a resting heart rate of 40 bpm, which Anderson is not, so that is really remarkable.

Miguel Indurain, a five-time Tour de France winner and Olympic gold medalist in 1996, recorded a resting heart rate of 28 bpm. In the mountain stages of the Tour de France, Indurain could take his pulse rate up to 190 beats per minute and drop it back to 60 on the descent within half a minute.

Let's just hope he doesn't cook for himself anymore...

Glad you guys found this info useful, I couldn't believe when I saw his heart rate and didn't know he had eagle eyes either.

I smell a Vezina.

Have they confirmed that there is no kitchen knife in Anderson's hand bone?
