Luongo/Hedman -- Gaborik/Backstrom/Elliot
 

This trade was offered to me and I'm not sure if I should take it or leave it...

I am in win now mode

I don't like giving FWD firepower for zero FWD in return, but Luongo could be an allstar.. and Hedman is solid... not the best, but solid. Maybe I could ask for Goligoski instead of Hedman.

I think I'm getting a bit hosed in this one, which is why I rejected it initially, but after looking at the WW options available at FWD to replace Gabs, I'm not so sure anymore...

In win-now mode, I'd take Selanne/Luongo/Hedman over Gaborik/Backstrom/Elliot all day. I'd do the deal if I were you.

I am now asking for Luongo/Goligoski FOR Gaborik/Bakstrom(G)

Took Elliott out of the deal and upgraded the Dman... Gaborik is just too good and luongo's uncertainty is just too high.. Luongo only has this season left on contract in my league, so if he doesn't really play a whole lot, this deal could really shake out to Gaborik/Backstrom for Goligoski... :eek:

I don't think I would do that deal, rcole. It's close but assuming significantly bigger production out of Luongo over Backstrom isn't a real safe call to my mind.

You have goaltending coming out of the ying yang with Rask, Bryz and Pavelec besides Backstrom anyway. In a daily starts league with only 2 G starting spots you are going to be making tough matchup choices as it is without bumping up your goaltending yet again with Luongo.

Gabbie can fill the bloody net as long as he doesn't tear a nail.

Don't really see the point of this deal.
