Another - what would you.....

So, I have been asking around about defence rankings and reading a lot about em, but, in my draft, at #8 after doing some research, I realized something, and don't know what to do.

For my D, I am looking to take Faulk.

However, at 8th, I can confirm that one of these 3 guys will still be available:
Read, Courturier, Hagelin

Looking at my team, do I still take Faulk or look to one of these Fs.

The one thing to keep in mind, Stamkos goes from rookie contract (875) to NHL Contract (8000000) next year, I don't know who I will be able to afford.

TIA

If this is a full salary keeper, then you have to take Couturier and screw the defense. Worry about the salary issue when it gets closer to date. Couturier's trade value alone will make this worth it for you in the long run.

I agree withGain. Couturier has a nice two-way game and may be one of those cat beasts.

Do you sentiments apply to all 3?

For example, what if it was Read available?

Read and Coutourier over the D for sure.

If Read was the only one available, then yes, I'd say READ is worth it. However Coutourier has the better pedigree and will sit higher on the depth chart than Read for years to come. Read is simply a depth player for Philly IMO. Coutourier has the higher ceiling.
