Drop Backstrom (caps) ???
 

Does he have a concussion again??? I'm in a 5 keeper league so i don't really want to go into next year with 1/5 on the IR. This is a 10 team yahoo points league (g/a=1 w=2 s/o=1). my keepers would be malkin, eberle, datsyuk,couture, fleury if i chose to drop him. I'm planning on defending my championship this year and i think this might be a shrude move to make as i think couture will be a solid producer since he's been active during the lockout. I will obviously be trying to trade backs prior to the draft but i'll have no takers if he's concussed.

My opinion, is that Backstrom is too good to not keep, simple as that.

so lets say hypothetically he has a concussion, given his current history he could miss the majority of the season, or even if he only misses say a month how good could he possibly be ??? production wise. He's been a depreciating asset for 2 years now and i find it unlikely that him and ovy return to being the 100 point due we all wish they were.

I think if he's playing he's going to put up points. With his injury there is no word how little or how much time he will miss, and with us not knowing and it being a keeper, I think he's too good to let loose.

Yeah Couture is good, but gamble on Backstrom and you could be defending your championship quite easily.

if you are set on dropping him thats your choice but understand you are unlikely to find many who are going to give you the confirmation you are looking for
