Gardiner?
 

Hey all,

Would you still waste a 1st rounder 8th overall on Gardiner?

If Faulk is unavailable, Gardiner was my #2, so I move down the list to 3 because of his concussions?

My #3 was going to be Smith (Det), but because he played such little games last year, I think I can wait until Round 3 for him, so probably the likes of Voyonov or Petry.

I would go with Brendan Smith (Det). He's been groomed properly, and is NHL ready. Had a cup of coffee, with the Wings last season, and looked like he belonged. Lidstrom's gone, Kronwall is brittle, this is his moment to shine.

Not to mention Gardiner is still out with a concussion or symptoms of one.
