#1 Pick?
Hi All,
So late last year I took over a team in a ROTO league. You are able to keep everyone on your team from year to year so as you can see below I have some work to do (especially in goal!). There are no prospects outside of what you can keep on your current roster which I feel should help me out with the rebuild but something to be clear upon. Starting this year I have the #1 waiver spot, so basically the #1 pick this year. Wanted to get some feedback on who you think I should go with. Most goalies haven't been added to yahoo so I am pretty limited there: My team and rules: 10 Team ROTO : C: Tavares, Nugent-Hopkins, Grabovski, Legwand LW: Hall, McDonald, Downie, Colin Wilson RW: Gaborik, Callahan, Cole, Paranteau D: Hedman, Fowler, Ehrhoff, Carlson, Erik Johnson, Mark Streit G: Schneider, Khabibulin, Clemmenson BN: Doug Hamilton, Mark Giordano, Peverley, Hornqvist, Biron, Irving, Garon, Gustavsson Skaters: Goals, Assists, PIM, +/-, Sh%, FOW Goalies: Wins, GAA, SHO, SV% Players Available for #1: Yakupov Galchenyuk Granlund Zibanejad Tarasenko Schwartz Strome Grigorenko Schultz The obvious thing here would be to go with Yakupov and keep building on my edmonton group but with the rules in this league I would think that centers are more important (FW). So would you go with Galchenyuk instead? All feedback is welcome and thank you in advance! Drift |
go with the obvious thing- yakupov.
if you think you neeed defense schulz would be a good way to go also. |
I think you need to go with Yakupov here for sure. Or trade down to the second pick and get a little something extra out of it when you take Galchenyuk. I like the idea of drafting a C but you can't pass up on a potential franchise player like Yak.

If you absolutely want a center, trade down and take one of Granlund/Galchenyuk/Grigorenko. If not, take Yakupov. |
Makes sense, sounds like I am overthinking it thanks guys!
