Keeper options....

I'd like to keep a 2nd goalie. My #1 is Lundqvist.

I feel like Pavelec will be the best option for starts.

Elliott has the best team, but will split starts at best.

Craig Anderson is another option...but I hate the Sens.

Or Dan Boyle. He's a stud, but getting old.

how many teams usually keep more than 1 goalie

also you have no border line forwards you might think of keeping

I would keep Pavelec over the others. Halak will be the guy in St.Louis and Anderson has too much competition for my liking.

Where do you pick in the first round? Do you feel there would be goalies available to draft? I assume there won't be. Your choice is between Boyle and Pavelec. I would not keep Anderson or Elliott.

If you think you can snatch a goalie in the draft I keep Boyle. If goalies are slim pickens I would keep Pavelec.

I also have Brian Campbell, Jason Pominville, and Chris Kunitz, but Im not really considering them, even though they were all great last season.

I don't have a 1st rounder this season, or a 3rd rounder.

I have won the pool 3 years running, but it has cost me a high pick for 'that guy' to push me over the edge each season.

Goalies get snapped up very quickly.

Pavelec is your keeper choice here.

without a 1st round pick you basically have to keep pavelec

I'd like to keep Boyle, but in a 13 Team League, I would rather have a second goalie.

Of the goalies you have I like Elliott the least.

Comes down to Pavelec vs. Anderson. Anderson I think holds a greater single season potential, but I feel it comes at more risk as he has Bishop behind him with Lehner in the minors primed and ready, with said options behind him all it will take is a minor slip, on top of that his days as number one probably won't be for much longer. Pavelec on the other hand probably doesn't have the same potential to be as good as Anderson for this season, but comes at less of a risk, and if the Jets hope to make the playoffs Pavelec is going to see a lot of action, on top of that he's a much more appealing option moving forward. I'd go towards Pavelec.

Thanks for this boys.

I think Pavelec is the guy.

MarmotKing 01-08-2013 08:52 PM

If you want a second goalie my pick would be Anderson. I'm scared of the split in st louis in a short season. Pavalec isnt a bad choice too.

BTW, a high draft pick to get a guy that helps you win is a great move any day.
