Packers @ 49ers

Cannot believe the Pack are underdogs by 3 after the way the 49ers closed out the year. I know in the betting world, home field advantage is worth 3 points so they're saying the teams are equal.....but still.

Pack all the way

I think it is the 49ers year this year. They have paid their dues and its time for them to take the next step. 49ers by 3.

This game is going to be a gooder!

Niners D will smother the Pack.

Go Niners!

3 points for a significantly better team, at home? 49ers for the win

Come on Niners, I don't think they can be denied!

I just hope my boys can get it done. Kaepernick, you better bring your "A" game.

Justin Smith injury is huge for the 49ers. Is he back/healthy/100% yet? Don't think they are anywhere near as good a team without him.

Also, Aaron Rodgers is terrifyingly good and this is the healthiest the Packers receiving corps has been all year.

I think these teams are really close, enough to justify the betting line. I know I won't be touching this game.

I agree. I wouldn't bet on this game either. Smith's injury hurts, but they can mask that with ball control. The '9ers have arguably the best O-line in football and they're not a quick strike offense. I think the D will be pumped at home and wilk step up, even if Smith doesn't play, which would be HUGE.

The problem is that without Justin Smith, Aldon Smith has been useless, which means no pass rush. The biggest asset the 49ers had was being able to get pressure just rushing four. Regardless of how pumped they are that still means they are going to have to blitz to sustain pressure, which means man coverage, which means Rodgers goes to town.

I agree that the 49ers will try to control this game with ball control because that's their style but even with Kaepernick in there I think they are pooched if Green Bay gets a two score lead. 49ers just can't play from behind. I could totally see them getting an early lead and hanging on though, which is why I still am not touching this game.

I hear you. I'm not down-playing the affects that Smith's presence. I'm just saying they will be pumped and stand a better chance at home. They will also have the crowd on their side, making it harder for GB's offense.
