Injury List

Now that the NHL is back, is there a source we can use for updated injuries?

Most sites do not have this updated and well I use twitter but there is no database or list, just odds and ends.

With a shortened season I can't afford to have injured players in my line-up.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I've found that the quickest and most up-to-date site for injury news is rotoworld.com

That said, there isn't any info on Backstrom so I would hazard a guess and say that our best option at this point is to comb the forums in the hopes that someone overseas has more up-to-date info than we do!

Cheers

If possible, I would hold off until the guys get into training camp. I would imagine that all players will need to do a physical upon arrival. Once that happens, teams will be posting that information to the league which will in turn pass down to the various sites. As you mentioned, I haven't heard much of anything other than the odd bit coming out of Europe and whatever can been extracted from the AHL/CHL. I have one pool where I've got Backstrom, Gaborik and Burns. None of them appear ready to start the season. :(

Injury issues to be aware of before the season starts.

Just wondering if you guys can think of any injury issues that could be important to know about before the season starts. I figure with the shortened season any injuries could have tremendous fantasy impacts because if a player misses 10 games then thats 1/5 of the season not 1/8.

I've included some players who may be ready to play just so people are aware their issue is resolved.

i heard that doughty got fat and out of shape again....

Dakkster 01-06-2013 06:53 PM

Briere was injured just before January and they said 2-3 weeks for him.

Kopitar is said to be out 2-3 weeks from yesterday.

Backstrom is still out, no word on a time table.

That's for my team. Who else is banged up?

Shakedown 01-06-2013 06:54 PM

Still unsure about Hossa still...

This is a good idea letangarang - my cash pool's commish just announced our draft for the 14th and something like this would be tremendously helpful for people like me who've been out of the loop.

If you're inclined, you should reformat the OP up to with a listing of players injured and ETA's so that people on the forum have easy access instead of reading through various threads.

T. Ruutu is out for most of the regular season.

Z. Bogosian is still recovering from what I understand.

All I can think of right now...
