It's his contract at just over $6 mil that's the problem. I've got $17 mil free with 3 spaces to fill (and I was planning on taking Parise/Myers 1st overall in the re-entry draft!).

I like the Getzlaf side here too but you have to consider that he is a UFA at the end of this year. Keep that in mind when you are looking at your cap situation for next year if you pull the trigger.

Getzlaf side for me in a big way, best player in the deal by a good margin.

I would take Getzlaf over Parise, and that's not even factoring in the difference of Parise's salary in your league that is nearly double that of Getzlaf's. Although you seem to be in much greater need of a LW than you are for a center, however Parise at 12 might be too big a pill to swallow.

I'd take the deal because of how greatly the value is swayed in your favour.
