Chris Stewart for Patrik Berglund?
Hy there,
i am kind of having trouble to figure out Stew´s value short-/longterm, will he bounce back? Will he eventually be traded, will he only get third line minutes? What about Berglund? What´s his upside. I am offered Berglund for either Stewart or Ryan Johansen, and since i am not in a win now mode i´d love to keep Johansen because i think he can be a special player. Other options would be Atkinson (not sure if i want more than one Blue Jackets Player on my team), Cervenka and Anisimov League in Signature What do you guys think? Trade Stewart for one of those players or keep him? Thx for your advice, i appreciate every input |
I would take Berglund over Stewart and for sure would want to hold onto Johansen. I am not a believer in Stewart, he does have some potential with multi-cat setups, but you can find other multi-cat types. I believe at some point the best player here will be Ryan Johansen.

Jump at Berglund for Stewart and keep Joho.
Bergy is at least a lock for top 6 and PP time, and will be a big part of the future in St. Louis. No questions marks there. Stewy on the other hand.... Take the safer guy with the higher offensive upside. Bergy/Joho all day long |

Columbus prospect Cam Atkinson is currently third in the AHL in scoring with 35 points (trailing only Eberle and Schultz). Atkinson is going to get an opportunity in Columbus to be a go-to player for the team right out of the gate. He’s ready for it, and the time in the AHL season this year will benefit him tremendously in the long run.
From today's ramblings. |
Couldn't agree more with C.O.D! Grab Atkinson before it's too late....

Trade Stewart for Berglund, not Atkinson.
|
I would rather have Berglund
|
I concur on the preference for Berglund. Atkinson doesn't have the upside that Berglund has.

I'd go for Berglund as well. Atkinson is really hyped right now, I'd rather the guy who has produced at the NHL level. Atkinson's upside doesn't make me wanna chance it on him over Berg.
