Tuomo Ruutu Out "Months"

GM Jim Rutherford says Tuomo Ruutu has had hip surgery. Said recovery time, return is indefinite but would be matter of months.


You deep leaguers out there, take notice.

Deep leagues or multi-cat pools. Ruutu was a beast in any league that had hits.

In any case, this is also a huge blow to the Hurricanes' hopes of contending this year.

When I replied to Chris Nichols tweet re: Ruutu I asked him when the surgery took place. He replied and said "recently in Colorado".

Not good if you own Ruutu.

Okay, top six spot up for grabs. Who takes it?

WAs just going to post this. Who steps up now in replace of TR? Tlusty, Bowman, Boychuk?? And most importantly, how will this impact my Skinner??;)

This year? No agreement yet as far as I know.

Bowman, Boychuk or Dalpe could step in and make their mark in his absence.

If I have to qualify every single statement I make regarding the impact of something by first stating "if there's a season" then I'm going to go ballistic. Call it laziness, call it optimism, call it whatever you want, I'm pressing forward as though there will be a season until they tell me otherwise.

Fair enough. I just find it hard to be optimistic with this bunch and will wait until t's are crossed and i's are dotted.
