Advice on keepers
 

Seeing as we may not have a season this year...(my fingers are still crossed)

without seeing any performances this year. Who should I keep for my 8 keepers next year? (team in sig)

I've narrowed it down to this. My first instinct is to cut Spezza. But with FW as a category, he is likely worth keeping.

With BS as a category, I'd argue for dropping Shattenkirk. Use the end of the re-draft to get guys dmen with pims and bs.... use your forwards for other categories.

Considering it is a 10 team league, I'd hate to keep all three of those tenders, but I can't imagine you dropping one. I'd aggressively try to move one with a forward for an upgraded forward. Of your 3 goalies, I think you could get a very nice return on any of them.

Presuming to start 2 Goalies....Id go this direction and then your defence.
Some may want to go 2 Goalies & grab Koivu but Id still go with 3G(These ones are too good not to keep). If need be you can grab abother goalie in draFT and trade one of your big3.

Okay Im dropping Green and Price. But b4 u do I too would try to upgrade for another stud. Trade Price with something for an upgrade.

Personally I wouldnt keep any D. You can easily re-draft Dmen. Same can be said for Centres. Plenty of quality centres out there. It's harder to find quality wingers and goalies so I would be keeping what you have there, for the most part.

Agree with Axe here. I'm keeping no d here. Those are three stud goalies there, keep them all. Ryan, Shatty and Green were on the bubble for me.

Agree with Artic here too, try to move one of the goalies + player B for an elite forward/winger.

what winger would you target? and what goaltender would you prefer to move? i was thinking i might target J.Neal but i feel like a Ryan/spezza + insert goalie for Neal may be overpaying. another option is the possibility of getting Tavares. do you think he would be a better option then spezza?

Either JT or Neal is a very nice upgrade if you can land one of them. Spez/Ryan + goalie is an HUGE overpayment IMO for Neal. Little overboard there.

You could try Price + Ryan for JT and see if that works. Or Schneider + tier II player for Neal. I think a Schneider/Spez for Neal deal would be an overpayment here. I'd put all of your eggs in one basket and go after Tavares here. Soon to be elite and difficult to aquire in most leagues. I think you'll garner more interest from another GM if you bait out one of Price or Miller here. More proven and better track record. Let us know what you have planned..

I think you have the pieces here to go after John Tavares, and if you land him you should be golden for years to come.
