"Swisher agrees to join indians, confirmed. @FeinsandNYDN, who had 1st, says $56M, 4 yrs"

Didnt see this one coming. I expected him to end up out west somewhere.

I always find it interesting when Yankees and Sox players/coaches come together .....whether that be on a different team or just a Yankee joining the Red Sox or vice versa .

Not sure how I feel on this one. The salary and duration aren't terrible but I'm expecting Swisher to tail off a lot now that he's not in N.Y. He was never a premier hitter and Cleveland doesn't have any other real big boppers.

I think this is really nice value for Swisher, he was originally asking for $100 million and now he goes for 56 mill?

He's a great teammate and a durable, versatile player.

Boy Jose Bautista's deal is looking like more of a bargain everyday.

Wow! Talk about two different climates. Good luck, Nick.

I think it's a good fit and will be a nice bat in the lineup and in that park. Maybe I am missing something, but why didnt they resign Choo rather than go get Swisher?

As far as Choo goes, from what I understand, they tried to resign him but he was hesitant to do so, so instead of taking a chance of losing him to FA (which Choo was planning on exploring) they made a deal.
