Rafael Soriano to Jays (Rumour)

From rotoworld earlier today:

ESPN's Jim Bowden lists the Blue Jays as a "sleeper team" to sign Rafael Soriano.

It's obvious the Jays are going for it in 2012, and adding Soriano would give them a potentially lethal back-end of the bullpen along with Casey Janssen and a hopefully healthy Sergio Santos. Soriano, 32, is seeking a multi-year contract worth $10 million annually in free agency, but to this point there hasn't seemed to be a big market for him.

Wow, what a pick up that would be!

I thought we were at our financial limit LOL. Sneaky AA...

In any case I don't know how much leg I'm gonna give to a rumour like this because I feel like at this stage, writers are gonna put the Jays as sleepers for everyone because of all the activity we've had lately.

It would be nice though, since I have little to no faith in Santos' ability to stay healthy. It all goes back to that feature Zaun did regarding Santos' delivery mechanics.

I love me some Casey Janssen though. Always loved his versatility...and his pickoff move lol.

Any help to the bullpen is a good thing. I too have limited optimism for Santos.

Love to have a pure fireballer in the bullpen, you can never have too many of those!!

I'd love to see him sign with the Jays but I think they've spent too much money already. Which is too bad because the Jays just lost the Human Rain Delay in Jason Frasor like last week :P

But hey....if they're going for it all why not just blow the other teams out of the water! Hockey starting has taken my mind off baseball over the last 24 hours but Im still jacked for the Jays to get going.
