Jets will try to trade Sanchez
In a story that will surprise no one, the Jets will apparently try to move Sanchez. But with his $8.25M of guaranteed money, they surely won't get much...
http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/n...-trade-sanchez The bigger question though is what they'll do long term at QB. Neither McElroy or Tebow appears to be a top end option at this point and there will be a weak F.A. crop to boot. |
They wont be able to move that contract. I can see them bringing him back next year and giving him the chane to compete for the job. He will fail and they will release him. This is supposed to be a weaker draft as far as QBs go so it wouldnt shock me to see the Jets try and make a deal for an established QB, maybe Alex Smith or Michael Vick.
I just dont see anyone taking that contract in a trade. |

The Jets would have to eat most of the contract and be willing to accept a late round pick (5th if they're lucky). It doesn't seem likely.
What does make sense is Sanchez staying in NY and them bringing in a veteran to compete for the job. I'm curious if Sanchez can salvage his career. The guy hasn't had much to use in terms of weapons (kerley as a go to guy, perfect example). If the Jets were to go out and spend the money on a wallace, bowe, jennings plus get holmes back as a wr2 and have Hill make strides in his second year....I think Sanchez can be a top 15 qb (same ballpark as flacco) |
Tebow going to the CFL.
