Demers, Stralman, Boychuk or Martinez?
None of the above is my choice too, but I need to add a D off the wire, so let's have a look. A couple of these guys could be sleepers.
Demers - 3 most offensive D in SJ, still young and Braun just broke his hand Marinez - was on the top unit with DD in the playoffs. Does that role continue? Stralman - finding his game in NY and always had the offense. Boychuk - is this guy an option on the PP anymore? Nick Foligno likely hitting the wire - which guy is the best bet in a goal heavy points only league? Thanks |
I think I'd go with Stralman, though I don't think there will be a whole lot of difference among them by the end of the year. None of their upsides is particularly good, even in the extreme.
I'd be really tempted to dig deeper to see if there's a guy with good upside but a smaller chance of reaching it (Brayden McNabb? Paul Postma? maybe still taken... David Savard? Sami Vatanen? Matt Donovan?), then abandoning that and picking up one of these guys if it fails. |

How about guys like Raphael Diaz, Macdonald in NYI, Nikitin, Josi? Those are some of my lower-end sleeper choices.

From that list its Stralman for me too. Not a lot to choose from but he has put up decent points before, and Torts likes him.
|
Not much to pick from but if it was me, I would be looking at either Demers or Stralman. Personally I lean towards Demers but thats only a gut feeling.
|
I'm not sure if it makes any difference or not, but Demers is killing it overseas. He has always had the potential and really only has Boyle to contend with. Yes people will say Vlasic is there, but I am not sold on him

i was just offered Voynov for Matt Read which may solve the issue - love Voynov.
Look like a good deal? |
