Ryan or Newton?
Falcons @ Panthers.....who do I start as my QB?
Ryan has only thrown 2 TDs in the past two weeks despite playing TB and the Saints. Obviously a lot has changed since their original meeting in Week 4, but here is what it looked like: Ryan- 369 yds, 3 TDs, 1 INT Newton- 301 total yds, 3 TDs, 0 INT |
Ryan is a safer option despite his recent numbers. Newton can be awful.

I'm a total momentum whore, so I'll go with Newton myself.

http://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/start...-matt-ryan.php I would actually go Newton. He's at home and Car has nothing to lose. As already stated, he's the hotter QB. Atl has a bad run D, which should mean Cam rushes well this week. Also, Atl is 10-1, people have been giving them their best shot. Perhaps that's evidencee by Ryan throwing 7 INTs the past 6 games. Only one of those 6 games did he not throw a pick. Atl is probably tired, playing ver physical games. They may overlook Car. I think this is a trap game for Atl. |

I have my tryst in Ryan 100%. Don't take the risk in Newton

Man this is just as tight on here as it is from the "experts"

It is close, for sure. Cam was awful earlier in the year and a lot of us,myself included, as a Cam owner, stopped trusting him for underachieving. As of late, he's been doing the opposite and Ryan has been underachieving. For that reason, I have a hard time trusting Ryan this week. 7 picks in 6 games is A LOT. Even with that in mind, in a situation this close, you should consider other factors, too, not just "perigree." Atl is a vertical team who doesn't run well. They also have a horrible run D. Car will be able to run. The team that does that can control the time of possession. If that happens, that's good for Cam and bad for Ryan. Either way, go with your gut. Good luck.

I would take Newton in this match. He's been playing a lot better as of late, has the comfort of playing at home and of the two D's, I would rather go up against the Falcons than the Panthers. I even like the panthers to upset the falcons this week.
