The offer I just received is Zetterberg, Franzen, and Keith for Malkin and Barberio
Now, I'm sure Barberio is very negotiable anyway, but my roster is full, so to take those 3 players I would have to ditch 2 anyway. I'd be more likely to send out Palmieri and Khudobin. I obviuosly lack depth at all positions, so it certainly fills a need. But, is that even fair value for Malkin? He could easily finish 40 points up on Zetterberg, and Im not sure if Keith and Franzen make that up on my bottom guys. It does give me 3 guys with lots of +- and SOG. I'll probably counter but who should I target?

I'd really like to change Zett out for Tavares, but I doubt he's buying that. I could probably shore up my back up G with a Hiller-Nabby switch. Who else should I target? Is Couture a big enough improvement on Franzen or Zett? How about Landeskog?

IMO dealing Malkin to fill depth positions is short-sighted. Use the rest of your assets to improve your roster.

That is gross underpayment for Malkin. Do not do it.

As a starting point, I would need Tavares+. Think Tavares + Perry for Malkin + something small would be good for you.

If they don't want to pay full price, put the same "untouchable" tag on Malkin that Ovechkin has.

No way I'd deal Malkin for that.

I would do Lundqvist+Couture for Malkin+Nabokov.

Since I have Quick, and we only play one Goalie, I doubt I'd go after Lundqvist. It would be too much of a struggle to get him, when I'm OK at that position.

I like arctic_rogue's idea of trying to get JT and Perry.

to get me to consider I would want to see at least one of these guys in a deal for Geno:

Depending on who would depend on what else would need to be added.

I was offered Ovie stright up, but said no. My counter offer was tavares, Perry, keith, Hiller for Malkin, Zidlicky,Palmieri, Nabby. The latter3 players would probably be the ones I dropped to make room if I was offered the 4 straight for Malkin anyway.

I think your counter offer might be a bit excessive in the other direction. But if the other GM accepts (doubt they will), then good for you!

How about Tavares+Couture for Malkin+mediocre guy?
