Jays rumour
 

I'm not usually a guy to spread rumours....but I've heard something very interesting from an ex-ballplayer and I couldn't help myself.

He heard the Jays are aiming for Felix Hernandez. :confused: Yup, Felix. The names mentioned on the Jays side were Romero, Arencibia and the best prospects left at least

THAT....would be ridiculous. Toronto would go mental.

Ha...I REALLY can't see this happening. Then again I didn't see any of the stuff that happened in the past week happening.

Sounds like a juicy rumor indeed. Not sure why Seattle would be after JPA after they just went out and acquired Jesus Montero last year from the Yanks for the catcher of the future. Not unless they planned on converting one of them into a 1st baseman.

Felix isn't going anywhere.

They say Montero isn't a "real catcher". He can do it, but...mehhh. I guess he could be a better DH.


That's what I said.

The guy seemed to indicate that they couldn't afford him, but he's only making $15.6M/year. I say "only" because...well let's be honest, it's Felix Hernandez :P He could be getting more money somewhere.

On the positive side, a month ago there's no way anyone would bother to spin a rumour like this about the Jays. AA has renewed our hope. Anything is possible.
